Below are just some of the measures we have implemented in our journey for a more sustainable future:

  • Replacing lighting throughout our premises with LED.
  • We recycle our waste materials to reduce waste sent to landfill.
  • Trialling the use of HVO fuel to power machinery on site.
  • Utilising metal stillages for the delivery of components to site to minimise on-site waste.
  • Plant and equipment is sourced from suppliers local to the sites to reduce transportation.
  • The HDPE pipework that we use within our drainage systems are manufactured using 100% recycled virgin materials.
  • Switching from fossil fuel to electric vehicles to carry out site visits and surveys, including the installation of Vehicle charging stations at our premises.
  • Reduced the supply of materials from overseas and moved the majority of our supply chain to local suppliers within a 40 mile radius of our base of operations.

Sapoflow Limited are on a journey with our key clients to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 in line with UK government requirements. We have recently begun tracking our carbon emissions throughout all our processes, from tender stage through to project completion and beyond. This allows us to monitor where C02 emissions are produced within our works and also within our supply chain, enabling us to evaluate our carbon footprint and identify key areas that can be focused on for further improvement.
