Siphonic Systems Training (1 day manager / supervisor course)

A one day course designed to give the delegates a basic understanding of Siphonic Roof Drainage Systems, these include:

  • The principles of Siphonic Roof Drainage Design and Operation.
  • Understanding of the design rate of rainfall intensity.
  • Consideration of British Standards relevant to Siphonic Roof Drainage (BS12056-3:2000 and BS8490:2025)
  • The advantages and disadvantages of Siphonic Roof Drainage.
  • Best practices for Siphonic Roof Drainage, and distinguishing between these and poor practices.
  • A reduced scale demonstration of Siphonic Roof Drainage in action.
  • Overview of installation methods.
  • A brief practical overview of the electro-fusion welding process.
  • Maintenance and aftercare.

This course is designed to educate site management and supervisors on best industry practice for their own evaluation assessment of site teams
and Siphonic Roof Drainage installation.

Advanced Siphonic Systems Training (2 day operative course)

A two day course which consists of the Siphonic Systems Training above, with a second day of practical training and assessment, including full installation
guidance using our in-house scaled installation facility, with one to one training and guidance given by our experienced site management, this includes:

  • Interpreting and following CAD based design drawings.
  • Installation of a full Siphonic Roof Drainage System in line with design drawings.
  • Testing of Siphonic Roof Drainage Systems in line with the relevant British Standards (BS12056-3:2000 and BS8490:2025).
  • Maintenance of Siphonic Roof Drainage Systems and Rainwater Outlets.

All works are inspected and signed off by our experienced site management to ensure the delegates competency upon completion of the course.
